Simplifying fractions : Activity

Fractions with big numbers can be turned into smaller fractions by simplifying them – which means reducing a fraction down into its simplest form.  Although the numbers in the fractions get smaller, the value stays the same. Find out in this section how to simplify fractions, by dividing the top and bottom number in the fraction.
